The bett1open in Berlin is a WTA 500 event running from June 13th till June 19th with a prize pool of $757,900 with Jabeur and Sakkari as the top seeds.
This WTA 500 event was set to have a spectacular field of players but leading up to the event several of them dropped out such as Swiatek. Badosa and Osaka. It's still a pretty strong event with
Ons Jabeur as the top seed and
Maria Sakkari as the 2nd seed.
The
prize money is also up this year with a bigger expected attendance this year as well. The winner of the event will take home € 93,823. The losing player in the final will get €58,032 with the semifinalists getting €33,880.
Liudmila Samsonova took home the champion's purse last year by beating Belinda Bencic in the final. Time will tell who gets it this year but in the meantime check out the full prize money breakdown below.
