Billie Jean King Cup Finals join Davis Cup for consecutive events in Malaga

The ITF has confirmed the Billie Jean King Cup finals will take place in Malaga, alongside the Davis Cup Finals. Both tournaments' finals will be held in consecutive weeks in November, with the top eight countries competing in both men's and women's categories.
The Billie Jean King Cup finals will be held from November 13 to 20, while the Davis Cup will start on November 19 and conclude on November 24, marking the end of the 2024 season.

Malaga to host Billie Jean King and Davis Cup Finals

The move was requested by the Andalusia Board, a partner and host of the event, and supported by the City Council and the Diputación de Málaga. The finals will be held at the Palacio de Deportes Arena José María Martín Carpena in Malaga.
“Our priority is to ensure the Billie Jean King Cup Finals continue seamlessly as the most exciting and unique women’s team tennis tournament on the 2024 calendar,” said Ilana Kloss, chair of Billie Jean King Cup Ltd. “Malaga, just 130 miles from Sevilla, has been a fantastic host of the Davis Cup Final 8 since 2022 and we know that its world-class facilities and passionate fans will help create another unique and memorable world championship.”
Similarly, Conchita Martinez, the tournament director, spoke about Malaga's advantages for hosting the event: “I know that Malaga, just a two-hour drive from Sevilla, will deliver the exceptional atmosphere and passion that fans of the Billie Jean King Cup have come to know and love,” Martinez stated.

“We have informed all existing ticket holders of the changes and will be reissuing tickets for the new location, with the option of refunds for those who require them. We are set for a blockbuster fortnight of tennis this November and I can’t wait to welcome the tennis world to Malaga this November.”
The current champions are Canada, led by Leylah Fernandez, who overcame the Italian team in the 2023 finals to win their first title.
