The
Billie Jean King Cup finals will take place in Prague from November 1st till November 6th and it will feature all the best tennis nations battle it out.
Initially set to be hosted by Budapest, the event was forced to look for a new host city after the capital of Hungary pulled out due to the pandemic. After some time it was announced that Prague would once again host the finals which will be an additional boost for the Czech Team who is one of the favourites. The event will run from November 1st till November 6th and the schedule has now been announced.
Play will start on the first day of the event and each day will feature a morning session and an afternoon session. Each session will have two fixtures played at the same time. One will be played on the centre court with the 2nd one being played on the other court. The schedule changes a bit on Days 3 and 4 with only 4 total matches played (two in the morning and two in the afternoon). Day 5 (Friday) will host the two semifinals with the happening the day after.
Nations that will be represented are Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, United States, Canada, Russia, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland. The defending champion is France who won it 2019 by defeating Australia in the final 3-2.
