Eugenie Bouchard looked up to
Roger Federer for the majority of her life and she talked about her admiration of Federer recently.
Some of the most successful events of Federer's career came at Wimbledon as he wrote his name in the history of that event forever. The biggest moment of Boucahrds career also happened at Wimbledon and that's something they have in common although the Canadian did not win the event.
After her round one win in Guadalajara, Bouchard spoke about Federer:
Well, I mean, the way I look at Roger, I don't know if it can be replicated by anyone. If there are kids that look up to me, I've always said this throughout my career: it's just an honour."
She remembered her younger days watching tennis on the TV and dreaming about playing like them:
"I remember being that little kid, looking up to players, wanting their autographs, watching them on TV. To be that person for someone else is just an honour. I appreciate the support. I hope I can inspire people to, yeah, get out, play tennis, play sports."
