Former world number one
Caroline Wozniacki produced a
stunning comeback and continued her winning run in the
US Open 2023.
The fourth and final Grand Slam of the year is moving
towards the business end as players continue to battle for the ultimate glory.
Wozniacki defeated America's
Jennifer Brady in the round of 32 clash
with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 on Friday.
The Denmark tennis star had a slow beginning as she was
clearly the second-best in the first set. Brady won 65 percent service points
in the first set. In comparison, her opponent managed to win just 53 percent of points while serving.
However, things turned completely in the second set as Wozniacki
won 58 percent service points, relatively higher than Brady who won just 49
percent points while serving.
The third set proved to be a completely one-sided affair as
one-time Grand Slam winner committed just one unforced error, 12 fewer than her
opponent who managed to win just a single game in the final set.
