The former world number one posted pictures on social media
platform X — previously known as Twitter — where she expressed excitement following
the meeting with singer Ed Sheeran after attending her concert.
Wozniacki only played one Grand Slam in 2023—the US Open—where
she was knocked out of the competition after losing to America’s young tennis
sensation Coco Gauff in the round of 16 with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
The Odense-born will be hoping to recover from that defeat
when she will play in the Australian Open next year which will be played from January 14-24.
Wozniacki has won just one major in her career which was
back in 2018 when she defeated the former world number one Romania’s Simona
Halep in the final in Melbourne with a score of 7–6(7–2), 3–6, 6–4.
