Caroline Wozniacki: from Australian Open 2024 prep to fan-girling at Ed Sheeran's gigs!

Denmark’s tennis star Caroline Wozniacki has expressed excitement after attending the Ed Sheeran concert with her husband David Lee.

The 33-year-old has recently returned to playing tennis at the highest level after coming out of retirement following a three-year break.

Even though her on-court return has not been as fruitful as she would’ve liked, Wozniacki has continued her social activities.

The former world number one posted pictures on social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — where she expressed excitement following the meeting with singer Ed Sheeran after attending her concert.

Wozniacki only played one Grand Slam in 2023—the US Open—where she was knocked out of the competition after losing to America’s young tennis sensation Coco Gauff in the round of 16 with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.

The Odense-born will be hoping to recover from that defeat when she will play in the Australian Open next year which will be played from January 14-24.

Wozniacki has won just one major in her career which was back in 2018 when she defeated the former world number one Romania’s Simona Halep in the final in Melbourne with a score of 7–6(7–2), 3–6, 6–4.
