Coco Gauff has become the first teenager to win 35 WTA 1000 matches since 2009 and it comes after she won the R1 one match at the
Madrid Open.
Gauff broke out in a major way pretty early on in her career becoming part of the Tour before she even turned 18. Due to that and the fact that she was playing very good tennis from the beginning, Gauff was able to accumulate quite a few wins before turning 20. She's still 19 so she's still a teenager but she's up to 35 wins on the premier WTA 1000 level.
Today's win at the Madrid Open was her 35th win and that was the first time since 2009 a teenager reached that milestone. That just shows how good Gauff is and she is still only 19. That is incredible considering how long she's been playing and the amount of matches she won and some of the stuff she did - being a grand slam finalist in both singles and doubles.
