Coco Gauff returns home to Delray Beach to lead Christmas Parade

Coco Gauff was part of the Christmas parade in Delray Beach, the city where she moved at the age of 7, and served as the Grand Marshal on Saturday, December 9. The current US Open champion was one of the main attractions for fans who attended the parade.
The parade featured over 70 floats, music bands, dance teams, walking groups, and more. It was a festive celebration in which Gauff shared some images on her social media.
The American developed her love for tennis on the courts of Pompey Park in Delray Beach, where she began her early years practicing the sport. Gauff expressed her excitement about participating in the parade through her social media posts.
"Surprise! grand marshal of the Delray Beach Christmas parade 💗," Gauff wrote.

The 19-year-old American, Coco Gauff, finally took a significant step forward on the WTA Tour after several years of high expectations. It was a breakthrough season for Gauff, who started the year by winning a WTA 250 title in Auckland.
Gauff displayed consistency throughout the year, staying within the top 8 since the beginning of the season. Her turning point came during the hardcourt swing after her early exit from Wimbledon in the first round against Sofia Kenin. Subsequently, Gauff showcased her best form by winning her first WTA 500 title at the Washington Open, followed by a WTA 1000 victory at the Cincinnati Open. She crowned her tremendous year by securing her first Grand Slam title at the US Open.
Her final appearance was at the WTA Finals, where she reached the semifinals but fell short against her compatriot and doubles partner, Jessica Pegula. Despite this, she concluded her season as the world No. 3, trailing only behind Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka."2023 is season officially over. hard to sum of this season in a few words.
