Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka recently battled Danielle Collins at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Open, with the low crowd turnout shocking many tennis fans, including former player Rennae Stubbs.
Osaka fell to Collins in a high-octane first round encounter, with the American recording a 7-5 6-0 victory. Although Osaka had six break points, she was unable to convert any of them, leading to the Japanese superstar suffering her third consecutive loss this season.

Lack of spectators leaves Stubbs in awe

A viral photo posted by tennis journalist Jose Morgado showed Osaka shaking hands with Collins after the match. However, there were several empty seats in the background, leading Stubbs to express her disappointment with a sarcastic remark.
"Is there like 5 people watching this? WTH?" wrote Stubbs on Twitter.

Danielle Collins wins the last 9 games to beat Naomi Osaka 7-5, 6-0 and reach the 2nd round in Abu Dhabi. The worst match Osaka played in her comeback. Wasn't really there in the second set. Still plays doubles today with Jabeur. Needs any kind of match atm.
