In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, we review some of the moments that transcended the day from the main ATP and WTA stars. World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka shared some photos from her days off, where she took the opportunity to visit the beach and go yachting prior to the hardcourt swing, taking a break after Wimbledon.
She's not the only one who shared photos of her moments off court, as Danielle Collins updated her fans excitedly, telling them she will soon become an aunt after her sister-in-law's pregnancy. Meanwhile, Belinda Bencic recapitulated several of her pregnancy photos from a year ago, shortly after achieving an epic campaign at Wimbledon to the semifinals – equaling her best Grand Slam performance so far.

Aryna Sabalenka's post-Wimbledon break

Aryna Sabalenka shared a series of photos from her days off with her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis and several couples of friends, where she is seen vacationing on the beach, taking advantage of the free time she took after her Wimbledon semifinal exit. The three-time Grand Slam champion again fell short in her major campaign, losing to American Amanda Anisimova in the semifinals, suffering another disappointment after her defeats in the Australian Open and French Open finals.
Nevertheless, the Belarusian comfortably remains as World No. 1, awaiting her return to the courts for the hardcourt swing, where she will first face the Cincinnati Open. As the 27-year-old recently announced, she decided to take a break due to fatigue, which means she will miss the Canadian Open – which starts in a week. Sabalenka will only have Cincinnati – a tournament where she defends the crown – as her only preparatory tournament. Sabalenka will be urged to achieve good results, as failure to defend these titles could jeopardize her stay at the top of the rankings, with Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff having closed the gap on the Belarusian in recent months.

Maria Sakkari's off-court glimpses

Maria Sakkari shared a series of photos from her recent time, though this time more off-court, sharing pictures of beach days, vacations, and even food, stepping a bit away from her usual posts about the world of tennis. The former World No. 3 is precisely not going through a great moment on Tour, after a sharp drop in the rankings in recent months, which currently places her at World No. 88.
The Greek had a good debut at Wimbledon after passing the first round, defeating Anna Blinkova, but then couldn't do anything in the second round against a tough opponent like former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina. Sakkari will return to the courts this Monday in the first round of the DC Open, against Brit Katie Boulter. Sakkari received a wildcard this time in DC, but in the coming weeks, she will have to face qualifying for the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open to earn a spot in the main draw.

Belinda Bencic shares throwback pregnancy photos

Belinda Bencic shared a series of photos of her pregnancy from a year ago, when she decided to take a year off from the courts, freezing her career for her family plans. Nevertheless, the Swiss managed to return in good form this 2025, being one of the season's standouts, reaching a World No. 20 ranking in the WTA and consistently remaining within the top 15 of the Race for practically the entire year.
The 28-year-old Swiss has distinguished herself by not needing too much adaptation time to regain prominence on the Tour, after winning the WTA 500 Abu Dhabi Open in February this year and with strong Grand Slam performances, where she reached the 4th round of the Australian Open and a notable campaign to the Wimbledon semifinals – falling to eventual champion Iga Swiatek. She also reached the quarterfinals in Indian Wells and has a highly commendable record of 26-11 for the season.

Danielle Collins' family news

Danielle Collins surprised fans by sharing on social media that she is preparing to welcome a new member to her family – though not directly her own. 'Danimal's' brother and his wife are soon expecting a child, to which the former World No. 8 showed all her happiness on social media, taking the opportunity to send good wishes to her family, and joking that despite how small the baby is, he already has a large number of outfits from all the Grand Slam tournaments.
"Well you wouldn’t know it by looking at this photo…But just preparing everyone to be flooded with a million photos of my baby nephew that’s on the way. Kim getting pregnant has made my entire year ☺️ Every week I am completely fascinated with what type of fruit Baby Maxwell is comparable to in size 😅 I guess this week he’s the size of a pear which is close in size to a tennis ball 😆🍐🎾 He’s already being so spoiled and has a collection of baby clothes from all the the grand slams!"
