Daria Kasatkina commented on the controversies at the WTA Finals with humor.
The year-end tournament that brings together the top eight female tennis players has not lived up to expectations and has been filled with controversies due to organizational problems.
The WTA Finals experienced delays and suspensions in most of the matches, and the court was not in suitable conditions for the players to train in the days leading up to the event.
World No. 17 Daria Kasatkina, who participated in the 2022 Finals but was eliminated in the round-robin stage, did not qualify this year. However, she was part of the WTA Elite Trophy, which gathers the top 12 players who did not make it to the Finals.
Kasatkina has a YouTube channel with her girlfriend, former figure skating champion Natalia Zabiiako. The channel has gained popularity on social media for showing behind-the-scenes moments of the WTA and conducting fun interviews with tennis players on the tour.
