Canadian tennis star
Eugenie Bouchard recently celebrated a new milestone, as she hit 2.4 million followers on social media platform, Instagram.
Bouchard has been in and out of tennis since suffering a shoulder injury last year. Since her return following surgery, she has had subpar results.
The 29-year was forced to withdraw from her second qualifying match at the ASB Classic in Auckland due to food poisoning. Her appearance at the 2023 Australian Open resulted in her elimination in the first round of qualifiers by Ashlyn Krueger.
Nonetheless, Bouchard has a reason to celebrate, as she took to social media on Thursday to welcome her new followers, or 'friends' as she referred to them.
"Hi new friends," Bouchard captioned her Instagram story, which had a photo of her profile with special emphasis on her followers count.
