Donna Vekic posts hilarious response after being dumped out of San Diego by Boulter: "Looking for my forehand"

Croatian tennis star Donna Vekic has made a joke of herself in a recent post on the social media platform.

The 27-year-old is undoubtedly one of the most high-profile women’s players coming from the country in the recent past. Vekic, in a post on her official account on the social media platform Instagram, made a joke about herself.

She posted a picture of herself looking in a trash can with the caption: “Looking for my forehand”. The current world number 28 did not have a great beginning to her 2024 season.

She was knocked out from the Australian Open after losing in the first round to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 6-4. She then lost in the semifinal of the Linz Open to Ekaterina Alexandrova with a score of 5-7, 7-6, 7-6.

In the Qatar Open, Vekic crashed out of the competition after losing in the first round to Katerina Siniakova with a score of 7-5, 6-1. In the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championship, she lost in the round of 16 to Romania’s Sorana Cirstea with a score of 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.

In her most recent outing in the San Diego Open, Vekic’s journey came to an end after losing in the quarterfinal to Britain’s Katie Boulter with a score of 6-4, 6-3.
