Donna Vekic shockingly comes back to win against Collins in San Diego

Danielle Collins won't be happy that she didn't get a chance to finish off her match against Vekic yesterday when the rain stopped.

The rain stopped the second semi-final tomorrow between Collins and Vekic when the American was up 4-2 in the final set. The rain stopped but organizers elected against sending the players out despite there being enough daylight to finish the match.

Fans were furious and blasted the event on social media and it worked superbly in the favour of Vekic who came back today and battled back from 2-4 to 4-4. After that, the match went into the tiebreak and the Croatian handled it much better winning 7-2.

Towards the end, Collins was visibly frustrated by the outcome as this match could have finished yesterday without any issue. Vekic will face Iga Swiatek in a few hours in the final.
