The draw has been confirmed for the 2023 WTA Elite Trophy which will take place between October 24-29, 2023. Making its return to the calendar, it combines mostly players who just missed out on qualification for the WTA Finals.
Top seed is technically Madison Keys who unlike Maria Sakkari isn't heading to Cancun to wait to be a potential alternate. Instead she will play in the second group alongside Beatriz Haddad Maia and Caroline Garcia.
The first group sees Barbora Krejcikova lead the way, she is alongside Daria Kasatkina and Magda Linette. The second group sees Jelena Ostapenko lead Qinwen Zheng and Donna Vekic.
While the final group is combined of Liudmila Samsonova, Veronika Kudermetova and a wild card in Zhu Lin as the action takes place in Zhuhai. In a round robin, the winner of each group will then form the semi-finals and continue from there on.
