The draw has been released for the Qatar Total Open which begins in Doha on Sunday and includes many of the top female tennis stars.

The likes of Ashleigh Barty, Simona Halep and Elina Svitolina headline the field for the Premier 5 tournament; but as revealed yesterday, many have decided against playing.

These include Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams; as well as Bianca Andreescu and Johanna Konta; meaning it is a more diminished field than usual for this level of tournament.

All the main seeds receive byes through to the next round to begin the tournament. The main first round ties though include Amanda Anisimova against Ekaterina Alexandrova; the in-form Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova against Yulia Putintseva.

Speaking of in-form, Jennifer Brady will face compatriot Alison Riske who she met in qualifying for this tournament 12 months ago.
