Svitolina makes announcement following major move by the Ukrainian Tennis Federation
The Ukrainian Tennis Federation (UTF) recently announced the transfer of rights of the women's team to the player's foundation from 2024 to 2027, prompting Svitolina to notify her fans and followers of her new role.
"A new chapter in the history of the Svitolina Foundation: for the next 4 years, we will manage the Ukrainian women's national team in the @BJKCup team tennis championships," wrote Svitolina on Twitter.
The 2024 Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers will run between April 12-13, 2024, with Ukraine being drawn against Romania. Ukraine lost to the Czech Republic during the 2023 qualifiers, so fans are curious to see how the team will fare under Svitolina's guidance.
