Emma Raducanu accepts wild card into WTA Portoroz

Emma Raducanu will make a quick return to the tennis court after her US Open exit, accepting a wild card into Portoroz.

The event will begin on Monday, September 12th and Raducanu will be part of the strong lineup in the Slovenian city. The event was first held last year with a solid field but this year's edition features a much-improved field including players like Elena Rybakina and Barbora Krejcikova.

Raducanu will try to earn some much-needed points after she is set to drop way outside of the top 50 on Monday. The event is a WTA 250 event held on outdoor hard courts which is a chance for Emma to get back some confidence as the pressure will be much lower compared to the last few weeks.

She will still have the spotlight on her as people will want to see how she handles herself after dropping over 70 spots on the rankings.
