Hum... wow.
Emma Raducanu revealed she has already split with coach Andrew Richardson who guided her to her maiden Grand Slam title and she is currently looking for a new coach.
The revelation was made during the LTA Homecoming event where Raducanu was celebrated as one of the British players who won a trophy at the 2021 US Open. During the event, Raducanu spoke about what she's been up to since winning the US Open and she revealed she has parted ways with her coach.
She did not offer too much insight into why she split with her coach but she did say she was looking for someone with more tour-level experience. The British player will become a mainstay on the main Tour after her unexpected win at the US Open and some believe Richardson was not ready to travel around the world consistently.
Other media speculations have pointed out the Darren Cahill is currently available after Simona Halep parted ways with him a few days ago. Whoever becomes the next coach will have the opportunity to work with one of the biggest talents the WTA has seen in the past few years and for Raducanu it's a very important decision to make as it will impact the trajectory of her career.
Stay tuned for more developments.
