Eugenie Bouchard makes a winning start on clay in Bogota

Eugenie Bouchard played a tennis match and the Canadian won that tennis match fairly comfortably in two sets 6-3 6-2 against In-Albon.

Bouchard has been out of action since the Australian Open due to injuries but she made a winning return on the clay of Colombia beating her opponent in two sets. It was a really good match from the Canadian who established herself as the more aggressive player early on taking initiative in the rallies.

The altitude allows for quite aggressive play here and it worked really well for Bouchard who won the opening set 6-3. The second set gave her a chance to finish off with a bagel but she dropped her focus a little bit to lose her serve though there weren't any major complications. It wasn't 6-0 but 6-2 which will still delight the Canadian.

A really solid start for her at the Copa Colsanitas. It's going to take a while before she finds her best tennis but this was areally promising showing from Bouchard.
