Eugenie Bouchard made a return to the courts yesterday in Bogota winning an easy match but today she stumbled against
Kamilla Rakhimova in a very competitive one 6-0 6-(7) 6-4.
It was a very interesting match but ultimately it was the Russian that got the win and she deserved it. The start of the match saw Rakhimova smash Bouchard easily in the first set taking it 6-0. There was not much Bouchard did well in the first set as she was all over the place but in the second one she produced a much better effort.
She pushed Rakhimova around the court much easier and took an early 3-0 lead though she didn't hold it for long. The Russian battled back and from there the players traded games. A tiebreak followed with Rakhimova wasting two match points allowing Bouchard to win the set and send the match into a decider.
It was decently contested by both players as we didnt' see a single break point until the final game of the match. At 5-4 Bouchard felt the pressure a little bit making some mistakes with Rakhimova sensing her chance. The Russian made it 40-0 and then won one more point to break Bouchard once more and end the match.
