Roger Federer retired from tennis last year after knee injuries made it hard for him to get back into competitive shape though he's not done with the sport completely.
While announcing his retirement, Federer explained that he has a wish to keep playing tennis in an exhibition format. The dream would be to stage numerous events around the world where he would properly say goodbye to all of his fans one last time. It's unclear whether that will come to fruition but he was spotted on a tennis court in New York teaching some youngsters.
The maestro is in New York for the Met Gala which will take on on May 1st. He is one of the co-chairs of the event whose team this year will revolve around the influence of the late Karl Lagerfeld.
