Paula Badosa has shared a positive update on her recovery as she aims towards the 2024 season following a torrid end to her 2023 efforts.
Badosa sustained a spinal stress fracture in Rome earlier this year which she battled to recover from too early at Wimbledon and as a result had to announce that she was ending her season early before the US Open after many failed comeback attempts.
"After struggling for many months to compete again, I am ending my season. Those of you who know me know how much I like to compete and how difficult it has been to make this decision," she said on ending her season early back before the US Open.
"We have tried everything together with my team but the pain is not letting me move forward. Thanks to the people who are still by my side in these hard times. See you next year, stronger than ever," she added.
Taking to Instagram though, she said that she has finally began working out again after being on the sidelines for some time with struggles recovering from her injury. "After a few weeks out finally some workout done, sooooo happy. Let’s go for more. PS- exhausted," she wrote.
