First glimpse at Naomi Osaka's baby bump as former World No.1 prepares for motherhood

Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka took to social media to give the world a glimpse of her growing baby bump.

The former World.1 announced in January that she was expecting a baby with rapper boyfriend Cordae, and even shared a picture of the baby scan. Subsequently, Osaka had given limited updates on her condition, occasionally posting on Twitter but with no references to her pregnancy.

However, the Japanese superstar shared the first public image of her baby bump during a photo shoot in Japan.

The 25-year-old has previously revealed that she knows the gender of her unborn baby, but has kept it a secret from Cordae. Furthermore, Osaka, who has not played competitive tennis since September 2022, has also confirmed that she plans on returning to professional tennis in 2024.

“I think what I’m looking forward to most is the challenges and just learning," she said. “I think there’s going to be a lot of things that I don’t know, but I have a lot of really amazing people close to me that I can ask questions about. Just a new adventure.”
