@rolandgarros finalists!!! first time playing doubles at a grandslam and I’m not complaining😎 it was a pleasure sharing the court with you Micheal✨
Former World No.4 Bianca Andreescu may have fallen short in the Roland Garros (French Open) mixed doubles final, but the Canadian seems to have enjoyed the experience.
The 2019 US Open singles champion teamed up with Michael Venus in her first mixed doubles Grand Slam tournament, and the duo shattered expectations by reaching the final as an unseeded team.
However, the Canadian/New Zealand pair fell to another unseeded duo, the team of Miyu Kato and Tim Putz, who prevailed after a third-set match tiebreak in a hotly-contested final. Nonetheless, Andreescu remained upbeat after the loss, and took to social media to thank her doubles partner for the memorable experience.
"@rolandgarros finalists!!! first time playing doubles at a grandslam and I’m not complaining it was a pleasure sharing the court with you Micheal" she tweeted.
