Tennis coach Tom Hill was recently seen in the coaching box of American tennis player
Peyton Stearns during her qualifying match for the 2024
Madrid Open, leading fans to speculate on a working relationship between the pair.
British coach Hill began his WTA coaching career with American Danielle Collins, helping her during her breakthrough season in 2018. He then began a six-year partnership with Greek star
Maria Sakkari, helping her capture her first title in 2019. Additionally, Hill coached Sakkari to the Top 10, as she reached a career-high ranking of World No.3. The duo parted ways in February 2024, with Hill guiding Sakkari to multiple Grand Slam semifinals and WTA 1000 final appearances.
Rising star Stearns could be latest mentee
The 22-year old American sensation has been impressive over the past 12 months on tour, finishing runner-up in Bogota last year. Furthermore, she reached a career-high ranking of World No.43 last September, following a fourth round showing at the US Open. With Peyton's potential and Hill's ability to guide players to the next level, it will come as no surprise if the duo begin a working relationship as Stearns looks to advance her career.
