No.5 seed in Eastbourne, Coco Gauff has earned her first top 10 win in 10 months seeing off Jessica Pegula to reach the Eastbourne International semi-finals.
Gauff faced her close friend and doubles partner, Pegula and sealed a 6-3, 6-3 win in the end.
In doing so, she won the last six games of the match from 3-0 down in the second set to snap a seven-match losing streak against top 10 players. Her last top 10 win was against Aryna Sabalenka all the way back in 2022 in Toronto.
It was a first against a top five player since Doha last year against Paula Badosa.
Next up will be Madison Keys who sealed a 6-4, 6-1 win over lucky loser Petra Martic and it is also a first semi-final for some time for Keys who last reached one nearly a year ago in Cincinnati.
While for Gauff, it is a third semi-final of the year after Auckland and Dubai and after a poor display last week in Berlin, she has bounced back superbly.
That is the first part of the equation done as Daria Kasatkina will face Caroline Garcia shortly and Jelena Ostapenko is set for a clash with Camila Giorgi in the other Quarter-Final on the south coast.
A Quarter-Final line-up will be set from there for the final warm-up before Wimbledon.

#7 Coco Gauff gets a massive 6-3, 6-3 win over Jess Pegula to reach the SFsin Eastbourne. That's Gauff's first top 10 win since august (lost her last top 10 matches in straight sets) and her first top 5 win since february 2022. Important before Wimbledon. Gets Keys tomorrow.
