Genie Bouchard to resume comeback season by competing at hometown Challenger event

Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard is not yet done with tennis this year as the former World No.5 will take part in the Calgary Challenger.

The challenger tournament will take place in Calgary from November 6 through November 13 and Bouchard is ready to play tennis there. The last time Bouchard competed was in Mexico, where she competed in the WTA 1000 Guadalajara event and a 125K event a week later.

"I'm looking forward to playing at the Calgary National Bank Challenger," said Bouchard in the accompanying statement. "I always enjoy playing at home in front of my Canadian tennis fans. I've heard a lot of great things about the Calgary event and can't wait to end my year well."

"We are very excited to have a world-class talent such as Eugenie Bouchard, Vasek Pospisil and Sabine Lisicki, as well as emerging talents such as Canadian Gabriel Diallo, Czech Sara Bejlek and French Harold Mayot," added Danny DaCosta, the tournament CEO.
