Halep races past Anisimova to reach Roland Garros round 4

Simona Halep entered the Roland Garros in great from and Amanda Anisimova witnessed just in how great of a shape she is.
Simona Halep faced off against Amanda Anisimova at the Roland Garros today and she raced past her in a hurry. The matches lasted less than 60 minutes and in it, Halep dominated in spectacular fashion The first set, which lasted 24 minutes, was won by Halep with 6-0. Anisimova tried many different things but all of them ultimately didn't do the trick. Halep fended off all her attempts and Anisimova kept rushing into mistakes. She piled up 14 of them compared to only 3 by Halep and therein was the key for the 6-0 result.
The 2nd set wasn't much better for Anisimova even if she won one game. Halep once more dominated the game with her stellar baseline play reducing the number of mistakes to a minimum. She had 4 unforced errors compared to 18 by Anisimova. The 2nd set was one with 6-1 and it was a stunning victory for Halep.
So far at the Roland Garros, she has been impeccable and her performances so far warrant the opinion shared by many that she might win the event. Her next opponent will be Iga Swiatek and that should be a good match as both of them are in stellar form. Swiatek defeated Bouchard earlier in the day.
