"Her legacy lives on in all those she inspired to greatness" - Venus Williams on sister Serena

Serena Williams played her last tennis match last night and her sister Venus paid tribute to her with some kind words.

It was a pretty exciting match between Tomljanovic and Williams with the former getting the win in three sets. Serena had chances in this match, particularly in the opening set but she wasted those chances and allowed Tomljanovic to run away with it.

It was an emotional night for her, especially Venus, who shared her thoughts on social media after the match. She wrote:

"After 1 year after away from the game, there is still no one who can approach her level, her intensity her excitement, her entertainment. There will never be another @serenawilliams her legacy lives on in all those she inspired to greatness, me included! No one has effected the game, or sport, the way she has. Tennis won’t be the same without its GOAT."
