Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis won another match at the US Open with Goransson and Nishioka proving no match for them.
It was a rather straightforward match for them and they will be very happy about keeping it in two sets 6-4 7-6(3). It started well for both pairing but rather quickly Kyrgios and Kokkinakis found ways to exploit their opponents. They took a 4-2 lead midway through the set and focused on keeping that lead and finishing it off a bit later 6-4.
They dropped only a handful of points on their serve while using one of three break points they had. Nishioka and Goransson did not have a break point. The 2nd set was a superb display of doubles tennis with both teams playing really well.
Eventually, we went into the tiebreak with Kyrgios and Kokkinakins taking it 7-3. It was just a great match from the Aussies who did not face a single break point on their serve. They dropped only 7 points behind their first serve in the entire match.
