"Holding hands with another girl": Katie Boulter jokes about boyfriend Alex de Minaur giving red flags during China Open court entrance

Alex de Minaur was defeated by Daniil Medvedev at the China Open and also raised red flags jokingly in a story from his girlfriend, Katie Boulter.

Boulter who won through her opener after qualifying seeing off Magdalena Frech will now face Aryna Sabalenka in the second round, but was on hand to watch her long-time boyfriend yesterday.

De Minaur in entering the court though was escorted on alongside a ball girl who he held hands with which prompted a humorous response from the Brit that he raised red flags for holding hands with another girl.

But while red flags were pointed out, Daniil Medvedev remained full of praise for his opponent after defeating him. "Alex has this ability, everyone knows it that when he’s down, he starts to play better. That’s what happened today. First set, I didn’t manage to count him down, as he was playing better because he was down. Second set I managed to play just unbelievable," he said in his post-match interview.
