The 2025 Sao Paolo Open will feature several talented tennis stars plying their trade in Sao Paolo, Brazil as the WTA Tour makes its way back to the South American nation from September 8-14, 2025.
A WTA 250 event, the Sao Paolo Open will feature 32 singles players competing for the title. Fans of doubles will not be left out, as 16 doubles teams are set to delight the crowd with some fast-paced action.
World No.21 Beatriz Haddad Maia will return home to compete in front of family as the top seed at the event, with the Sao Paolo native sure to receive a hero's welcome every time she takes to the court. Although Haddad Maia has faced some struggles during the North American hardcourt season, she is sure to receive a boost of confidence when she plays in front of her home crowd.
Rising American star Hailey Baptiste is scheduled to compete at the event, the 23-year old is slowly making a name for herself o the WTA tour. The DC native reached the second round of the US Open, where she fell to an in-form Naomi Osaka.

Eala set to thrill fans with remarkable brand of tennis

Filipina tennis star Alexandra Eala has been confirmed for the Sao Paolo Open, the 20-year old is one of the breakout stories of the 2025 season after reaching the semifinal at Indian Wells earlier this year.
Former World No.32 Ajla Tomljanovic is scheduled to compete in Sao Paolo, and she will be joined by Mexico's Renata Zarazua and Great Britain's Francesca Jones. The Sao Paolo Open will be broadcast internationally for fans living outside Brazil, with Sky Sports covering the tournament for those in the United Kingdom, Ireland; Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, South Tyrol; Italy, San Marino, Vatican City, South Tyrol.
