Emma Raducanu will face off against Angelique Kerber on Wednesday at the
Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart in the top tie on the schedule and off the back of a landmark
Billie Jean King Cup Return against France.
Raducanu defeated Caroline Garcia and Diane Parry with the latter booking their spot in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals this November in Seville. Heading from France to Stuttgart, she continues her path on clay and is full of confidence ahead of her task ahead against Kerber. She said after the Billie Jean King Cup run that she feels like she is playing the best she ever has.
Last year though harbours some bad memories for Raducanu who was wiped off the court by Jelena Ostapenko then had surgery which kept her out until the start of 2024. "Tennis-wise I have improved because I feel like I am playing the best tennis of my career and my life," Raducanu told BBC Sport.
"And emotionally, mentally, for me to come through the moments that I did the last few days, it took a lot of strong character, especially when the entire stadium is pretty much against you. I can just take a lot of positivity and I really enjoyed this week.
