Emma Raducanu received accolades
from her colleagues after being the hero for Great Britain in the Billie Jean
King Cup series against Team France. Among the tennis players who congratulated
the 2021 US Open champion are her teammates
Katie Boulter and
Harriet Dart, as
well as her opponent
Caroline Garcia, among others.
Raducanu led the UK team in
the tie, first with an excellent comeback against Caroline Garcia, winning 3-6,
6-3, 6-2. In the second match, Boulter fell to Diane Perry 6-2, 6-0. On the
second day, Boulter secured a victory against Clara Burel with a score of 7-5,
6-0, and finally, Raducanu sealed the British victory by defeating Parry 4-6,
6-1, 7-6(1).
The former world No. 10 had a
great performance in her return to the
Billie Jean King Cup team for the first
time since 2022. Raducanu received congratulations from several of her
colleagues after posting various photos of the British celebration following
the victory.

Other
compatriots who congratulated her included Katie Swan,
Jodie Burrage, and Andy
Murray's mother, Judy. Additionally, her opponent in the first match, Caroline
Garcia, also praised Raducanu:

The British team captain, Anne Keothavong, praised the singles players Boulter
and Raducanu, saying, "It’s going to take a lot of work to try and wipe
this smile off my face. What a day, the atmosphere was just rocking, Katie and
Emma came to play and put in some fantastic performances against tough
opposition."
"I’m just so chuffed for
the team. We came here and we knew it was going to be difficult. But we came,
we performed, and we’re all leaving with a big smile," she added.
