Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina has stated that she plans to have more kids but only after retirement.
The 29-year-old is married to fellow French player Gael Monfils and the two have a daughter as well.
Svitolina was recently quoted in a report where she talked about her plans after retirement which included having more kids and also to develop a fund to help tennis in Ukraine.
“I hope that then Gael & I will have a couple more children. And that I will continue to develop my fund, because Ukrainian tennis must flourish, and my mission is to make concrete efforts for this."
Svitolina is famous for being outspoken. She was one of the most outspoken tennis player in the world who raised her voice about the ongoing conflict with Russia.
The Odesa-born famously refused to have a handshake with fellow Russian and Belarusian players at Wimbledon which ended up creating a lot of headlines.
On court, Svitolina has had a more than decent year where despite appearing in three out of the four Grand Slams, she managed to qualify for the quarterfinal or beyond twice.
Her best outing came at Wimbledon where she was eventually knocked out after losing the semifinal to Marketa Vondrousova with a score of 6-3, 6-3.
