Spain’s tennis star
Paula Badosa has hinted that she is
still very optimistic about returning to action on the court.
The 25-year-old has been out of action for quite some time
as she continues to recover from a back injury sustained earlier this year. It
was because of this reasons she ended up missing three out of four Grand Slams.
Badosa recently shared a picture on her official account on social media platform X where she expressed optimism about returning to court with a caption: "I
play tennis sometimes…"
The former world number two appeared at Wimbledon this year
where she had to retire from the second-round clash against Ukraine’s Marta
Olehivna Kostyuk.
The post will give Badosa’s fans much-needed hope of seeing their
favorite player in action very soon.
The New York-born will be hoping that the ongoing break will
also help is strategising about how she can go further in the mega-events.
Despite playing in the main round of the Grand Slams 15 times,
Badosa has only managed to qualify in the quarterfinal or beyond just one.
Her most impressive outing
came in the French Open 2021 where she was knocked out of the competition after
losing to Tamara Zidansek in the quarterfinal with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 8-6.
