"I just love the surface" says Bencic after advancing to the bett1 Open final

Belinda Bencic defeated Alize Cornet 7-5 6-4 in the bett1 Open semifinal and moved on to the final.

The Swiss player was able to put forward another great performance which is something she likes to see considering her up and won year so far. The Swiss player overcame another turbulent match that saw her jump ahead with a lead only to lose it and then to come back stronger after that. On that she said:

"Of course it gives me a lot of confidence. It’s always great to have this confirmation on grass that it’s working well."

Bencic enjoys playing on grass and she always did which she confirmed after the match saying:

"I always try to play as many tournaments on grass as possible because I just love the surface."

The Swiss player now looks ahead to the final where she will face Samsonova. The young Russian has been enjoying a break week in Berlin taking down more experienced players than herself.

She has been serving exceptionally well and she will need to continue that as Bencic will attack any weaker serve as she did all week long.
