"I never doped, so I'm not a cheater": Simona Halep responds to comments by Caroline Wozniacki questioning wildcards for drugs cheats

Simona Halep was defeated by Paula Badosa in her return to tennis at the Miami Open. But it was a quick return that stirred up debate surrounding wildcards for those found to be cheating and one that Caroline Wozniacki raised after her win over Clara Burel.
Wozniacki said that while she has nothing against Halep and they have a good relationship, those who test positive for a banned substance should start from the bottom and work their way up instead of reaping the benefits of wildcards. Halep was asked about it and said that it can't be the case as in her mind, she didn't dope and so isn't a cheater and she said she didn't do anything wrong.
"I didn't do anything wrong," said Halep. "I didn't cheat. I didn't dope. So it's better if we read the decision from CAS that it was a contaminated supplement, it wasn't doping.
"I never had something to do with doping. I never doped, so I'm not a cheater. Thank you to the tournament for giving me the wildcard and have the possibility to play in such a big tournament. It was great to be back.
"Only one person being negative about me is not that important because I have hundreds of people that giving me love, so I will take that."
