Caroline Garcia produced a strong effort to take down Emma Raducanu in straight sets at Wimbledon 6-3 6-3.
The French player attacked often and early and it left Raducanu quite confused as to how to approach the match. She never found a good rhythm and never really found her game being on the backfoot the entire match. Garcia attacked every short ball venturing to the net as well. Speaking after she admitted to having really strong prep for this match.
She said:
"I prepared for this match really well. Emma is a huge player and in her home tournament. I really enjoyed playing on Centre Court, it was my first time and very special. You win a couple of matches in a row and I won a title in Germany but you have to start all over again. That is what is nice about tennis - we all start from zero and we have to go for it."
