With Martina Navratilova continuing to debate trans inclusion in women's sports and being against it, her close friend in
Chris Evert has reiterated her stance stating that she stands in support of her and the need for protection of women's sport.
A fan registered their disappointment of how Navratilova hasn't received support from fellow tennis legends in Evert, Steffi Graf and Billie Jean King in being against transgender athletes being involved in women's sports.
Navratilova is a believer that men are biologically given certain advantages that women can't match and argues that female athletes need a safe space in the form of sport exclusively for them instead of transgender athletes entering the sports, a theme which continues to develop.
She came to the defence in particular of Evert saying she has always shown her support. She added that Graf isn't involved in this and that Billie Jean King is on the opposite side of the fence.
Evert then jumped in herself quote tweeting Navratilova's response showing her support for her long time friend.
Seemingly too as well as being a long time friend, it is a view she has held for a while too.
"I prioritize fairness in women's sports. I have always supported Martina on this...." Chris Evert said.
