Iga Swiatek replaced Ashleigh Barty as the top player in women's tennis today and asked by reporters if she sees herself like that, Swiatek joked about it.
A reporter wanted to know whether the Pole sees the world's No. 1 player when she wakes up in the morning and looks in the mirror. Swiatek, who is currently on a 17-match winning streak, delivered a hilarious response to the reporter's question saying:
"Well, when I wake up and look in the mirror, I see a mess basically."
It proved that Swiatek is in great spirits after this much of continued success and she has every right. She's the best player in the world and she's confirmed it by winning the Sunshine double in quite dominating fashion.

The whole idea of giving out wildcards is to give new & up-coming players a chance at getting as much circuit match-practice under their belts as possible. And this is a HUGE must and opportunity for these new kids on the block. Why curtail opportunities for these newbies in favour of stalwart monopoly?? That just isn't fair. At least give these lesser known players a chance to become more familiar at playing in bigger tournaments & give them also a chance of getting the crowds behind these underdogs.
