Naomi Osaka lifted her third Grand Slam title at the 2020 US Open and she spoke about her feelings afterward.

Although Naomi Osaka seemed to be almost unstoppable during the US Swing this year, there was one player who was showing performances of the same quality. Victoria Azarenka could have also won her third Grand Slam title and she got really close. The Belorussian was dominant in the first half of the match when she already led 6-1, 2-0. However, Osaka showed the heart of a warrior and champion to turn the match around and win her 2nd title in Flushing Meadows.
"I was thinking about all the times I've watched the great players sort of collapse onto the ground and look up into the sky," she said of her winning moment. "I've always wanted to see what they saw. For me, it was really an incredible moment. I'm really glad I did it."
"In the end all I focus on is what I can control on the tennis court. That's what I did [in 2018]. I feel like that's what I did this time. I think in the first set I was so nervous, I wasn't moving my feet. I felt like I was not playing, not that I expect myself to play 100%, but it would be nice if I could even play, like, 70%. I just felt like I was too much in my own head."
"In the second set, of course I was down early, which really didn't help me out. I just thought to myself to be positive, don't lose 6-1, 6-0, hopefully give her a slight run for her money. I just sort of ran with that line of thinking."
