Caroline Garcia is not enjoying tennis very much right now with a couple of poor results recently and Marion Bartoli would be glad to help her snap out of it.
Garcia played in two finals this year but she lost both finals against players she was expected to beat. First, she lost in her hometown of Lyon to Alycia Parks for whom that was her maiden WTA Final and then she lost to Donna Vekic in Mexico. It's been clear that she's been playing quite a bit below her WTA Finals form.
Marion Bartoli would like to see her ready for Roland Garros in order to challenge for the title and she even extended an offer of helping her prepare for the event:
“I would happily train Caroline Garcia all the way to Roland‐Garros. There is no problem. She had been playing so well since Roland-Garros last year when she won the doubles with Kristina Mladenovic. She won a lot of matches. I told myself that everything was in place, finally. She was able to react to changes in the surface, to different conditions. She played well everywhere."
She added:
"Normally when a player has figured out what works, even changing coaches, she is able to repeat it with other people. I think there is also a mental backlash. She has a new status, no points to defend, everything to gain. She put more pressure on herself by saying to herself, 'It's now or never'"
