Australian tennis star
Ajla Tomljanovic recently gave some insight into her future plans and ambitions following her career in tennis.
The 29-year old is currently recovering from a knee injury after undergoing surgery, with her last participation on the WTA tour coming during the Billie Jean King Cup in 2022.
In a recent interview with Piper-Heidsieck, the official champagne sponsor of the Australian Open, Tomljanovic opened up on the softer side to her personality, and revealed the last time she had cried.
"I think I'm really tough but I go through things emotionally, like I always feel things strongly but kind of figure out a way," Tomljanovic said when the interviewer asked what was the last thing that made her emotional. "Yesterday, I was just watching a show and it got to me, I was rewatching Grey's Anatomy."
On being asked what she would have wanted to do if she wasn't a tennis player, Tomljanovic responded with:
"I would love to be an actress."
The World No.32 also stated she would love to improve her Grand Slam performance this season, with her best results being quarterfinal appearances at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships and US Open.
"Professionally, I would love to go a step further in a slam than I have, so that would be a semifinal," she added. "That would be amazing."
