Iga Swiatek tops Year-End ELO rankings with surprising names inside top 10 alongside Sabalenka, Rybakina and Gauff

Following a year that saw her retain her World No.1 ranking, it comes as no surprise that Iga Swiatek topped the WTA Year-End ELO Rankings list.

The Polish star was almost unstoppable during the 2023 season, winning 6 titles including the French Open. Furthermore, the 22-year old finished the season with an impressive 68-11 record, culminating with her maiden WTA Finals title and the year-end World No.1 ranking.

Already viewed as the best player on tour, Swiatek had a target on her back at every tournament. The four-time Grand Slam champion was under constant pressure from her fellow top-ranked colleagues, with the likes of Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina looking to hand her a demoralizing loss.
