The racket used by
Novak Djokovic during his 2016
French Open title match against
Andy Murray has been auctioned off by a lucky fan.
Djokovic defeated Murray in a thrilling final, rallying from a set down to secure the victory and win his maiden
Roland Garros title. Following his win, the Serbian tossed his racket into the crowd, where it was caught by one fortunate fan.
The lucky fan has decided to sell the piece of history through SCP Auctions, a reputable sports memorabilia company. The racquet is a 27-inch Head Speed Graphene Touch PT113B, with a custom double-wrapped, calfskin leather grip. It currently has a minimum bid of $10,000 and has been authenticated by experts, who have matched it to photos and videos of the French Open final.
