American tennis star
Taylor Fritz gave his thoughts on ATP colleague
Holger Rune, stating the Dane's confidence was often misunderstood for arrogance and cockiness.
Rune's playing style and on-court attitude have allowed the youngster to become a force on the ATP Tour, although this behavior been perceived as brash and cocky by several fans.
Self-confidence and belief do not equal arrogance, according to Fritz
In a recent Twitch stream, Fritz spoke about his relationship with Rune, stating the Danish star was often mistaken for cocky due to his own lofty goals and ambitions.
"I like Holger, I've never had any issues with Holger, we played doubles," said Fritz. "I don't think there's any issues. I think he has big expectations and big ambitions, and I think people mistake someone saying that they want to be the next Big Three, when you say you want to do all these great things, and people then mistake that for cockiness.
"But like, so what? I don't think people understand, if you want to be successful, you need to actually believe it and you have to have some of that arrogance and confidence to you."
