Iga Swiatek marches on to Warsaw quarterfinal

Iga Swiatek put forward another superb performance to move on to the Poland Open quarterfinal after a win over Lee.

Swiatek faced Gabriela Lee and she largely did not have any issues in winning this match. Lee put up a decent effort, especially in the opening set but Swiatek was essentially in control from the start of the match. Demonstrating her incredibly clean ball-striking ability, she was to win the opening set thanks to only one break.

It came after she exploited Lee and her serve towards the end of the set while dropping only two points on her own serve. The 2nd set featured a more aggressive Lee who was able to create a break chance even however Swiatek saved it.

Iga created plenty of chance in the 2nd set as used two break chances overall to break her oppoent twice en route to the 6-2 2nd set finish. Just a very strong performance from Swiatek who is in the quarterfinals of Warsaw.
