Coco Gauff is often lauded for having maturity beyond her years and as she reaches adulthood winning on her 20th birthday at
Indian Wells, she shared a glimpse into her own future.
Gauff who has had the mystery of having a boyfriend and tennis fans attempting and in some cases the sleuthing has worked trying to find out who he is, marriage and kids and in particular the latter are not on the cards at all for the US Open champion.
As a top level sportswoman, Gauff admitted that she has dedicated her life at least in the short term solely to tennis and that she hasn't fully got her life goals in check aside from on the court where she wants to win more Grand Slams and an Olympic medal. The 20-year-old previously said that she wants to reach double figures for Grand Slams and added her first in 2023.
"I guess tennis goals, definitely to win some more slams, and I want to medal at this Olympics or 2028. That would be cool," said Gauff.
"Then life goals, honestly, I haven't thought that far. Yeah, I mean, I'm not trying to do anything, I'm not trying to get married or anything (smiling). Definitely no kids. Yeah, just tennis right now and we'll see where life takes me off the court," she added.
She will face Yue Yuan on Thursday evening for a spot in the semi-finals of the 2024 Indian Wells Open and after poor recent runs, she is certainly showing that it was very much temporary with how she is playing at times this week. Starting her 20's as she means to go on certainly.
